The answer to this need has been developed and researched by Traditional Healer, Ian Claxton. Ireland once was almost entirely covered in ancient forests exhibiting tremendous beauty, strength and very wise, old energy. Practitioners are now incorporating the Ogham Essences, the ancient Irish Trees of Ireland, to form an integral part of their therapy as a mental emotional balancer.
“Look at a tree, a flower, a plant. Let your awareness rest upon it. How still they are, how deeply rooted in Being. Allow nature to teach you stillness.”- Eckhart Tolle
'Ogham' the Old Irish language ascribed trees to the individual letters and is sometimes called the "Celtic Tree Alphabet".
The Celts used a Lunar Calendar that consisted of 13 months throughout the year. Each month of the Celtic Lunar calendar bears the name of a tree. Each sacred tree has a specific vibration and seasonally linked to that time of the year. The Celts recognized that a child born within a certain moon would develop certain personality traits - What moon tree were you born under? Click Birth Trees
There are five distinctive constitutional traits linked to a tree. Our constitution is linked with a tree that is known as our 'tree type', the tree that initiates and governs our unique existence. What constitutional tree do you resonate with? Click Constitution Trees
Tree lore is a mystical school of knowledge with roots stretching back into our earliest symbolic imaginations.
The Tree has always been a universal, archetypal symbol that can be found in many different traditions around the ancient world. Trees are symbols of physical and spiritual nourishment, transformation and liberation, sustenance, spiritual growth, union and fertility.
